Fight Back and Take Control
As I was watching a football game recently I noticed something that disturbed me, the same people who created the economic crisis are asking to be trusted with our hard earned money again. At first I didn't even notice how subtly they were planting the seeds of how they could help in these times with our money and trust. "Employees everywhere are sending distress signals", no kidding! Put your money here where we can tailor and nurture it and you.
Then two days later President Obama announced that the Federal government was considering regulating the bonus system in the investing and banking industries, the response was an immediate drop in the stock market. As if to say you go away and leave us alone or else. Is there any other industry in America that is allowed to behave in such a manor. Mind you we are not talking bad quarterly reports or the dollar declining against some other currency. Just the President doing what we all know to be the right thing, and that's to reign in an out of control system that is so vital to our economic well being. Kind of makes you sick doesn't it?
What can I do? How can I fight back? Is there a way I can control my own financial future? I don't trust them, but I want to send my kids to college and enjoy my retirement years.
